You are a Sheer Genius!! I'm trying to convince my husband that a bed converted into a sofa is so much more economical then splashing out 21grand on a sofa that isn't comfy for a 6' 3"person such as himself. He doesn't think its possible but has given me the green light to do so. How exciting! Thank you! You are inspiring!

Love this! I found your blog through Apartment Therapy too. I'm looking at seat/sleep options for a bedroom that will double as an office/dvd viewing room. Only we need less seating and more lounging space so maybe a full size bed made up with big toss pillows will do. Decisions, decisions! Great blog btw.

i love this idea!

Hi, just found your blog via Apatment Therapy. I love this solution and would love to copy it in our TV room. The only thing I'm worried about is how comfortable the sofa is. I don't mind a sofa that is mainly there to be pretty, but I know I'll receive loud protest from my husband if I stick a sofa in front of the telly that is anything less than super comfy...

I have the same type of livingroom and I have my two beds arranged like yours. I've been thinking about a solution for the back a long time now. With your "simple" solution my problem is solved. That is a really clever solution! I've thought of something similar for my livingroom, but with wheels on one bed to make it easier to move around. I sleep in the livingroom, and there isn't really room enough for both a sofa and a bed, at least not if it is to look the least bit nice, so I'm desperate to find some solution that actually works. Where do you put the top mattress when the beds are not in use? And the back pillows that turn into a kids(?) bed is too clever, I would have never thought of that! How do you keep them from sliding apart on the floor?
